Wilma was born in Widnes in May 1932 and grew up attending the local schools. She trained to become a hairdresser and met her husband Lloyd whilst cutting his hiar as a trainee at the local college!
Lloyd and Wilma were married in 1956 and moved into Clarke Road in 1962. They had 3 beautiful children, Julie, Peter and Anita. Wilma went back to work after the children and loved hairdressing at the High Road saloon. She was a very proud grandmother to eight grandchildren and in later life became a great granny 9 times!
Wilma loved to read and in particular crime fiction. She was never the same after her husband of 52 years passed away and she slipped away from us in hospital.
Children were always close to her heart and we have choosen donations in her memory to go to Alder Hey.
