Mev padded away peacefully at his home after a short illness. He had lived in Tiverton his entire life. He was born in 1937 to his parents Rosa and Sandy. He grew up with his brother Ron and two sisters Wendy and Christine in a house beside the railway at Gowerton Street.
He attended St Marks Street school and Tiverton Grammar before leaving at the age of 18 and being drafted into the air force for his national service part of which was in Singapore. Upon return he joined the Prudential Assurance Co and was to work for them the rest of of his working life.
He met his wife Kathleen at a dance in Tiverton Town hall and they were married in 1961. They moved to their current home is 1970 and has 4 lovely children Jackie, Craig, Janice and Jason. The family grew and soon he inherited two daughter in laws Sandra and Nicols and in time became a grandad and latterly a great Grandad.
He will be missed by all those who knew him as a kind loving person.
